The National Drive with Phoenix

They’re my Polish Driving Ponies: Maggie with the blaze and Mollie with the hind half-stocking, ages 7 and 17 respectively. They had only been put together for 2-1/2 months at this point. Maggie had been driven singly for 1-1/2 years; Mollie had been a leader of a 4-in-hand for most of her life. Aren’t they cute? And along with my navigator Vee Sutherland (this was her first time back-stepping at a CDE) we ALL had a blast… and sailed right through the vet checks So even at 500 lbs with 2 humans our carriage pulls easy enough for a small pair of ponies at Preliminary Level
